Study Tour to the Nation's Capitol

Hillcrest Members Take Their Second Annual Trip to Washington, DC

As part of our second annual field trip, several members of Hillcrest Lodge #1318 visited the nation’s capital this past week. The Grand Master of Washington, M.W. Charbel T. Fahed, who sat in Hillcrest Lodge earlier in the year, extended an invitation to us. Visiting Jerusalem Lodge #3000, having lunch with Brent Morris and Arturo De Hoyos, celebrating Thanksgiving at the George Washington Masonic Memorial, and, of course, seeing everything were all part of our trip.

Everyone had a great time, and many stories were told. “It was incredible to be here in this historical place with all of my brothers!” About the trip, Senior Warden Stephen Berryman said. “I’m eager to find out where we go next.”

Members of Hillcrest took over New Orleans in the hopes of embarking on an annual Masonic journey. According to Chaplain Kyle Wahlquist, “visiting Washington, DC, has long been on my bucket list.” “I’m overjoyed that everything worked out and the Lodge was able to go.”
